Stock we own, not stock we hope to find
Fast-moving grades sit in our own warehouses. When you call, we are reading a shelf, not making a phone call to a third party.
Meru Chem Pvt. Ltd. has manufactured, stocked, supplied and exported chemicals from Mumbai since 1996. Eight divisions, 1,200+ grades, and one thing our customers keep coming back for — the material arrives when we said it would.
In 1996 the business was a single rented godown in Masjid Bunder, a telephone, and a handful of acids and solvents moving to dye houses across Maharashtra. What set it apart then is what sets it apart now: if we said Thursday, it went on Thursday.
Three decades later the scale has changed and the principle has not. Eight divisions now run under one roof, from industrial acids through to pharmaceutical raw materials and minerals. We hold inventory rather than broker it, qualify manufacturers and stay with them, and prepare export documentation in-house so consignments clear customs the first time. The company is still privately held and still run by the family that started it.
Our customers are procurement heads, plant managers and quality teams. They are not buying a brand — they are buying the certainty that their line keeps running. That is a harder thing to sell and a much harder thing to fake over thirty years.
To keep our customers' plants running by holding the right chemical, in the right grade, in the right packing, ready to move — and by telling them the truth about lead times even when the truth is inconvenient. We would rather lose an order than a customer's trust in a date we gave them.
To be the chemical supply partner that Indian and international manufacturers name first when reliability matters more than the last rupee — recognised across pharma, food, textile and industrial sectors for depth of stock, documentation that clears, and a standard of service that does not thin out as we grow.
If a grade is four weeks away, the quotation says four weeks. We do not win orders on dates we cannot hold.
We qualify manufacturers and stay with them, so your fifth drum performs like your first. Validation depends on it.
Correct hazard classification, UN-approved packing and GHS labelling on every consignment. No exceptions for urgency.
COA tied to your lot, current MSDS, and the destination paperwork prepared before the container is sealed.
A named contact who knows your grades, packing preference and site timings. No ticket queue, no re-explaining.
Enquiries are answered within 24 hours, usually the same working day. Silence costs a buyer more than a high price.
The company is registered and trading begins — industrial acids and solvents moving to dye houses across Maharashtra.
The first overseas consignment ships to East Africa, and export documentation becomes an in-house discipline rather than an agent's job.
Powder chemicals and minerals are added, taking the company beyond liquids for the first time.
The pharmaceutical raw materials division opens, bringing batch-linked traceability and a far stricter documentation standard to the whole business.
Procurement, storage, filling and despatch are brought under a documented quality management system.
Caustic soda flakes begin to be held in continuous depth, and annual rate contracts with call-off become the norm for larger accounts.
Africa, the GCC, South-East Asia and Europe. Hazard classification and freight booking are handled entirely in-house.
Thirty years of continuous supply — still privately held, still run by the family that opened that first godown.
Three facilities across Maharashtra, segregated by hazard class with dedicated bays for food and pharma-grade material.
Drums, carboys, cans and jumbo bags filled to customer specification, with vented closures where the grade requires it.
Incoming material verified against specification before it enters stock. Every consignment leaves with a batch-linked COA.
Own transport contracts for domestic movement, container loading for export out of JNPT and Mundra.

COA, MSDS, packing list, certificate of origin and the destination-specific paperwork prepared before the container is sealed.
If a grade is four weeks away we say four weeks. An accurate date you can plan against beats an optimistic one you cannot.
We qualify manufacturers and stay with them. Your fifth drum performs like your first, which is what your validation depends on.
Hazard classification, UN packing, labelling and freight booking to 40+ markets — you approve the proforma, we do the rest.

Rolling twelve-month average.
Industries we serve
A sugar mill in crushing season and a pharma plant mid-validation need opposite things from a supplier. We keep separate stock policies for each.
Excipients, solvents and intermediates for formulation and API plants, released against batch-linked documentation.
Food-grade acids, bicarbonates and processing aids that satisfy audit trails from FSSAI through to your customer's own QA.
Clarification, decolourisation and boiler-water chemicals staged ahead of crushing season, when a stockout costs a whole shift.
Scouring, bleaching, mercerising and dyeing auxiliaries supplied to the consistency your shade-matching depends on.
Analytical and LR grade reagents in small packs, dispatched fast — because a lab waiting on a reagent is a lab that has stopped.
Metal treatment, plating, cleaning and effluent chemicals on scheduled call-off, so your stores hold days of cover instead of weeks.
Connect with Mr. Manish K Shah and our technical sales team to stabilize your chemical supply chain. No form-filling required.
